My Story

Art has been my passion and creative refuge since my early childhood. My love and curiosity for creating art of all mediums led me to earn a degree in Art focusing on Drawing in 2009. During my studies, I explored various mediums, resulting in a wide-ranging body of work that spans different styles and disciplines, primarily focusing on abstract and mixed-media painting. Life happened and bills needed to get paid so off to the workforce I went and my love for art continued but altered to more of a hobby and interest rather than the main source of income and fufillment. Over the past three years, I have wholeheartedly re-embraced my passion for creation, diving deep into the processes and experiences that fuel my artistic spirit. This journey has allowed me to immerse myself in a world of creativity, exploring new ideas and mediums that ignite my enthusiasm for making art. I develop my art using unique experimental, intrinsic techniques based on learned principles, allowing my personal aesthetic and intuition to guide me. I believe that any surface can serve as a canvas for creating something meaningful and engaging and I typically reuse canvas to cut back on waste and maxamize texture. When I am not practing my artwork, I enjoy parenting, decorating, reading, second hand shopping and creating special memories with my family in Evanston, IL.
